Sex Relationships and Sometimes Love Press Release

Sex Relationships and Sometimes Love

A Real Romp

Let me ask you a question: are you thinking about sex right now? If you are, don't worry about it- we all are. Let's face it, sex is a major part of life.

If only there was a way to talk about sex, the emotions surrounding sex, the consequences of sex, and who we really want to have sex with, as adults, in a close, intimate yet light-hearted and well-lit setting- a stiff drink in hand, while watching some of Los Angeles' hottest actors ply their trade.

Well, actually, there's a way to do all of this in one night. By attending the highly praised, award-winning play "Sex, Relationships and Sometimes Love" written by playwright Joelle Arqueros, you can become part of a close-knit audience as actors confess everything from their freshly ruffled sheets, or at a bar as if you were their favorite bartender, or at a strip club, as if you were the stripper they told things they couldn't tell their wife.

Most human beings have something to confess and this play offers a boat load of guilty confessions.

You can watch "Sex, Relationships and Sometimes Love" every Sunday at the "Actor's Playpen" every Sunday at 6 pm, 7:30 pm and 9pm. at 1514 Gardner Street, right before Los Angeles becomes West Hollywood and where some of the finest actors in town work the night away.

Westside Eclectic Press Release

Westside Eclectic Press Release

What does a fortune five hundred CEO, a cast member of "The Office", and a Los Angeles Laker have in common? Well, they're all able to work well within a cohesive group, they're able to be present and perform well in the moment and they're able to execute well without thinking.
Many want to know, can these skills be learned?
The short answer . . . yes! Not more than three blocks from the pacific ocean in sunny Santa Monica sits the Westside Eclectic, a comedy and improv training facility that is open to every man woman and child who is willing to learn.
Most everyone who knows anything about show business knows that there are plenty of improv schools throughout the Los Angeles area. Westside Eclectic, while it is the stomping grounds for many a talented actor, is not strictly limited to the "headshots and agents" crowd.
Westside Eclectic is open to anyone and everyone who wants to learn the basics of improvisational technique.
"The Westside Ecclectic takes the best parts of the other theaters around town and combines them into a hearty improv stew. Totally recommended!" says one satisfied student, Johnathon Zabel.
If the first installment of Westside Eclectic's improv teaching suits the students, they can quickly move on to the next level and rise through all six levels, possibly even getting selected to perform on one of the school's house teams.

Although the classes are not necessarily restricted to seasoned performers, people who take the class will get a chance to show-case their talents at the end of the six weeks, according to Westside Eclectic General Manager Lloyd Alquist.
"Our Level 1 classes are a great value and includes a final performance here at the theater," says Alquist. There are other advantages as well. "Our students get in free to all shows here at the theater and we bolster some of the greatest teachers that LA has to offer," says Alquist.

For anyone who is interested, there is a level one class starting later this month, on 3/21/09, goes through to 5/2/2009 and costs $285 and includes a student showcase.
There is also a Thursday evening one that starts on March 19, and goes through April 30.

If anyone wants to book a show, they can contact Lloyd Alquist directly by calling (310) 451-0850, or by going to the main web site at www.westsideeclectic.com.

Geoffrey Altrocchi - A rare combo - brings his talents to PR

Geoffrey Altrocchi - part entertainer, part communications expert- seeks to join the Public Relations work force in Los Angeles

A Political Science grad from the University of California at Berkeley, Altrocchi first learned journalism at the Daily Sparks Tribune, where he worked the crime, education and city politics desks, and wrote on several state-wide issues.

It was there that he was introduced to the world of news. He met and worked with public relations experts and press liaison officers from every major company and statewide organization in Northern Nevada. He also met and worked with the the Governor of Nevada, US Representatives and state representatives. He became familiar with AP style news writing and most importantly he got in tune with the news cycle.

In addition to his duties at the Sparks Tribune, Altrocchi also wrote for sports journals and alternative publications while living in northern Nevada.

In what turned out to be Altrocchi's debut in public relations, he found himself using his talents to help promote fellow artists and musicians in the local press. He helped several groups gain placement in publications, which later went on to help their numbers at future events and shows.

A theatre and movie enthusiast, Altrocchi soon found Reno's Bruka theatre, where he acted in several shows, and more importantly helped them with their public relations programs.

Constantly seeking to experience different branches of the media - Altrocchi eventually stumbled across Reno Radio Representatives, a conglomerate of seven different radio stations. He worked there for a year, falling in love with talk radio, and at times taking part in the production of some of the local shows. He also took an active part in promoting the different radio shows during the weekend.

Altrocchi then went to work as an assistant producer for KTVN Channel 2 News, which brought him back to journalism. There he learned more about visual journalism. Some of his duties there were to catalogue the videos on the station's Web site, which introduced him to web producing.

From Reno, Altrocchi sought bigger horizons and decided to move to the film capital of the world, Los Angeles, CA.

His first job in Los Angeles was working for Rightside Advisors, where he was in charge of sending out mass e-mails of financial newsletters to thousands of subscribers. He edited the emails and sometimes added his own touch on the marketing copy-writing.

Altrocchi worked for several publications including the Garment and Citizen newspaper and the Campus Circle. He also helped several theatres with their marketing and promotions campaigns, including the Next Stage Theatre, the Steve Allen Theatre and the Promenade Playhouse.

In the midst of all this, Altrocchi sought out as much Hollywood production experience as he could possibly find. He gained several hundreds of hours of on-set experience in student, low-budget and even major blockbuster movies.

Now, Altrocchi seeks to meld all of his interests and writing talents into a publicity or public relations job within the entertainment industry.
